Bush or Obama?

by Kyle Rapose (2009-04-22)

I have to agree with Oddo about the fact that Bush and Obama's foreign policies are completely flawed. Both don't look at the fact of all the innocents lives that we have taken and asked for forgiveness. They both feel as if they had done nothing wrong by killing women and children, and neither can understand why the Muslim community hates us over in the middle east. The president don't take a step back and ask themselves the most important question, why? Why do they hate us? Why are they willing to give up there lives to terrorize us? Instead, they both assume that we are the "good guys" and there just evil". As Otto pointed out, Obam doesn't even change there rhetoric in his speeches.

The fact is that we all got caught up in the hype of having an African American president for the first time ever(which I have no problem with), that we looked passed all the lies that are told by every politician during an election year. Because thats all Obama is, another politician, who won the game that we play every year. And as far as 'change' goes, I wouldn't expect that anytime soon. As far as I'm concerned, the President isn't truly in power nowadays, but just a puppet put up too keep the masses happy, while we continue our same policies. I don't think that we have really had a true President, who represented his own ideas, since the JFK ear. And I think that it is sad that the news stations are so one sided(for either Dem. or Rep.) that it take a news channel on comedy central like The Daily Show(which I enjoy), to take a neutral stance and point out flaws that other news stations don't. But I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, maybe change is coming.
