fair

I think this is a fair comparison of the rhetoric and foreign policies of both Bush and Obama. I agree with the overall idea that when it comes to both of these, Bush and Obama are not so fundamentally different. The change that Obama is providing America is obviously not coming through a radical, and dare I say necessary, change when it comes to military action. At some point, a president, whether it be Obama or not, is in my opinion going to have to accept that there is no way to cure anti-American sentiment through indiscriminant violence. Sadly, many of those who fall victim to United States' military action are civillians, and this is completely unacceptable. We called the death of our civillians on September 11 terrorism, and claim we don't condone terrorist activity, yet we are willing to spend trillions of dollars to fund military operations that kill civillians on the other side of the globe. Is this not terrorism as well? The war is already lost if we resort to terror, which includes the killing of civillians, to destroy terrorist organizations. We are fighting a losing battle if we continue on this path that has been accepted by Obama, as well as his predecessors in office. On the topic of Obama's foreign policy, Oddo makes a fair acessment that change has yet to occur, and I believe that is where change is needed most, for without it there can be no end to the cycle of violence.
